On Wednesday, February 27, ORUUC closed on the purchase of new church property. David Savoie, with members of the ORUUC board, ADO task force, and Steering Committee present, signed closing papers, completing the purchase of 809 Oak Ridge Turnpike. On Wednesday, November 14, ORUUC's president met with the Kroger Marketplace developer at the law offices of James Normand. David Savoie, with members of the ORUUC board, ADO task force, and Steering Committee present, signed closing papers, completing the sale of 1500 Oak Ridge Turnpike.

With plans to open in the fall of 2014, construction on a new home for ORUUC began in October 2013. This album contains photos documenting the construction of the new church building.

In the rain, at 5pm on Sunday, July 14, ORUUC came together to break ground on the church's new land. The groundbreaking ceremony was brief and festive, involved hardhats and shovels, and was followed by a potluck celebration.

After service and the Beltane celebrations, everyone came together to view the new building design, hear about the plans, and ask questions of the architect.
