OZZFEST ANNOUNCES LINEUP AND ITINERARY
FOR SUMMER '98
U.S. Dates Begin July 3 In New Jersey
Ozzy Osbourne Tops Festival Bill
With Tool, Megadeth, Limp Bizkit,
Two featuring Rob Halford, And Many More

Ozzfest '98, the day-long hard rock festival which was the
box-office hit of last summer's concert season, will kick
off its US itinerary at the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel, New
Jersey on July 3. (See next page for current itinerary and
on-sale dates.)

This year's Ozzfest again will use two stages. The main
stage will feature Epic superstar and festival founder Ozzy
Osbourne, along with Tool, Megadeth, Limp Bizkit, Sevendust,
and Coal Chamber. The roster of second-stage performers
includes Incubus, Two (with Rob Halford), the Melvins, Snot,
Ultraspank, Kilgore, Life Of Agony, System of a Down, and
Monster Voodoo Machine. At each show, one of the second
stage bands will rotate into the opening slot on the main
stage. 

For the July 18 date at Sommerset Park in Minneapolis, MN,
Ozzfest with combine with the Vans Warped Tour for one giant
rock extravaganza. On June 20 at Milton Keynes Bowl out-side
London, Ozzfest will play its only UK/European date. The
lineup includes Ozzy Osbourne; a reunited Black Sabbath
(Ozzy, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward); plus Foo
Fighters, Korn, Pantera, Slayer, Soulfly, and Fear Factory.
The second stage contingent includes Coal Chamber, Life Of
Agony, Limp Bizkit, Neurosis, Human Waste Project, and
Entombed.

Last year's Ozzfest was the surprise phenomenon of the
summer, averaging a higher per show gross than any other
festival tour. This year's concert will also feature a novel
first for the package festivals, with plans to converge with
the Warped Tour for a single mega-show July 18 in
Minneapolis.
